dss delivers Aruba wi-fi project to Global Technology Company

Background

The Challenge

The client required the implementation and provision of equipment to deliver a Global Wi-Fi capability to their major offices worldwide.

The solution had to standardise and enable the management of a robust and secure Wi-Fi environment across their enterprise, which would support endpoint services for laptops, mobile phones enabling Unified Comms and wireless access for guests and staff.


The Solution

This project was undertaken as a key strategic investment with the following objectives:

  • Improve return on investment.
  • Leverage and enhance current network assets.
  • Provide wireless connectivity to all office spaces at specified sites.
  • Provide a comprehensive schema of all building topologies.
  • Deliver the provisioning of equipment on a timely basis.
  • Improve utilisation of Machine Intelligence cross the IT, IS, procurement and finance units/departments.
  • Eliminate over deployment and underutilisation of Access Points and Controllers.
  • The chosen Solution was Aruba WIFI.

The Wi-Fi system was implemented on a site-by-site basis, sequentially and in parallel to best match the client’s rollout time frames. Each site had three phases:

  • Phase 1 – On site survey and solution design.
  • Phase 2 – Implementation and configuration (installation of hardware, project management, testing, training).
  • Phase 3 – Post implementation survey to ensure the installed solution met the defined criteria and perform appropriate remediation (if required).
